lovely inspiring artwork by rachel castle, who fran disovered ages ago. i really love the simple compositions and striking colours of these paintings and prints. i think a few of these pieces would look so fab in plain frames on a big white wall, don’t you? yeay neon!

my old cath kidston iphone case is on it’s last legs, i seriously need to get me a replacement and i’m very much liking the look of these…

i love the idea of hanging a huge painting somewhere prominent in your home, to make a proper feature of the art. i used to paint big pictures a lot when i was younger, but haven’t for a while, mostly due to lack of space. but i’d really like to take it up again. i think you could base the style of a whole room on a painting, and love how these paintings look on these big blank walls.

happy monday people! i booked an extra day off work after a very busy weekend so have been out and about enjoying this beautiful weather. sunshine definitely makes me happy! oh, and here is a series of illustrations by ventral is golden which i discovered in selfridges a while back as a set of greeting cards. i really like these, i think they’re so sweet. don’t you?

I discovered this hilarious print (well, I think Fran did) ages ago, and I love love it. But i’ve somehow only recently come across all the other brilliant work by London based designer and illustrator Aled Lewis. Do you love these? I love these so much. I’d like one on my wall please.

If you follow me on pinterest you may have noticed I’m just a little bit in love with neon pinks and neon reds at the moment! Nothing too waaaahinyourface, just little hints and pops of the colour… love them loads. I currently have neon red nails! And I’m restoring a mirror at the moment, and when it’s finished I’m hoping that it will add a little pop of neon to our little home. Yeay!

Hey all… sorry we’ve been a bit quiet over here. I have been insanely busy doing all sorts of different things, and trying to decide what I want to be when I’m a grown up. I know, I know, I’m *technically* a grown up already, but you know what I mean! I’ve found little snippets of time to do some pinning though… hey, did you see this post over at design blahg? Wa ha ha ha, oh so funny and, well, oh so true. Yeah, maybe I’ve been doing a bit too much of that. Anyway… onto something completely different. I adore these illustrations…

Hey all! Fran and I have just returned from a lovely few days away in North Cornwall with our Mum and little sister… woah, I’d forgotten how beautiful that part of the world is. We will try and share some pictures on here soon. But in the meantime… I’ve just been reminded of the work of Karin Akesson, and of how much I love it so. Such sweet designs…

I just stumbled across this 2010 project – a lyric a day – over at design crush. The project is by Lukes Beard who took a lyric every day and created a piece of art from it. And I think they’re pretty awesome.
I have really enjoyed looking through all these creations… and it’s funny how much you can read into one little lyric!
